Hey, Humans (Āy Ādamha) (2015) is a documentary directed by renowned Iranian filmmaker, Rakhshan Banietemad. The movie displays the charitable works of Zanjireh Omid International Charity Institute. The title of the movie comes from a poem by Nima Yooshij in which he says: "Hey Humans who are sitting on the shore, joyous and laughing, someone is losing his life in the water. Someone is struggling in the water, in this turbulent dark heavy sea" This clearly reflects the aim of this movie, which is to show the philanthropic contributions of Zanjireh Omid to underprivileged children suffering from health problems. This movie is like a wake-up call to passive human beings disregarding social issues. This probably explains the reason why rather than charity events and fundraisers, Rakhshan Banietemad dedicated the entire movie income to Zanjireh Omid international charity and described the audience of the movie as endless chains of hope, contributing to the treatment of underprivileged children by buying the movie legal copies. This humanitarian act displays the impact of documentary cinema on social changes including philanthropy, charity etc.
