Treatment and Surgery of Scoliosis Patients

Treatment and surgery of scoliosis patients under the support of Zanjireh Omid Charity Institute via Nerve Monitoring System for the first time in Iran. The patients had disabilities in doing their daily tasks, they suffered from reduction of the lung capacity and they faced the danger of paralysis and death in some cases. Zanjireh Omid Charity Institute provided the required facilities to operate these children to help them have a better future. Some of these patients who had moderate to severe spine deformity, inappropriate lung capacity and spinal cord pressure, could not be operated in Iran before this.

The surgery costs of these patients outside of the country were high. After purchasing the Nerve Monitoring System, many of these surgeries could be done in Iran at very lower cost. Another objective of buying this device was to train Iranian doctors to implement it in on patients in Iran. Iranian doctors were trained by Dr. Masri Zada (a famous neurologist who has had 20 years of experience working with Nerve Monitoring System in France).
