Mrs. Marashi, CEO of Zanjirehomid, Visits the Vatican Embassy Following the Passing of Pope Francis

Following the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church, Mrs. Maryam Marashi, CEO of the international charity organization Zanjirehomid, visited the Vatican Embassy in Tehran on Saturday, April 26, 2025, to express her condolences. During her visit, Mrs. Marashi signed the book of condolences and conveyed her heartfelt sympathy to the Embassy staff.
In her meeting with His Excellency Mr. Andrzej Józwowicz, Ambassador of the Holy See to Iran, Mrs. Marashi honored the legacy of Pope Francis, recognizing his substantial contributions to humanitarian causes around the world. She said:
“Throughout his papacy, Pope Francis provided invaluable support for the specialized medical and surgical treatment of children at Zanjirehomid. He also played a pivotal role in fostering the collaboration between Zanjirehomid and Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Italy, an initiative that has had a profound impact on our work. His legacy of compassion will forever be remembered.”
Ambassador Józwowicz expressed his sincere gratitude for Mrs. Marashi’s visit and reaffirmed the Vatican’s commitment to continuing its support and cooperation with Zanjirehomid, particularly in the ongoing partnership with Bambino Gesù Hospital.
