With deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, the international charity organization Zanjireh Omid extends its condolences on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church and a compassionate, kind-hearted, and benevolent human being.

Through his words and actions, Pope Francis consistently strived to uphold the values of peace, love, and global solidarity. Throughout his papacy, he remained steadfast in his commitment to supporting the underprivileged, advocating for social justice, and fostering a culture of empathy and peace around the world.

In line with his humanitarian mission, Pope Francis provided invaluable support to Zanjireh Omid. Notably, he facilitated a connection between our organization and the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome. The ongoing collaboration with this esteemed hospital led to the development of a highly specialized neurology program within Zanjireh Omid, and we remain hopeful that this partnership will continue to grow, further advancing pediatric neurosurgery in our country.

Additionally, through the Apostolic Almoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, and under the guidance of Archbishop Leo Boccardi, the Vatican’s Ambassador to Iran, significant charitable contributions were made to our organization. These contributions, delivered personally to our children’s residence, directly supported the treatment and surgeries of underprivileged children. A full report on the allocation of these funds was later submitted to the Vatican embassy.

Pope Francis held a special place not only in the hearts of millions of Catholics but also among all who cherish human and moral values. His compassion for the suffering and unwavering devotion to humanity will forever remain etched in our memories.
